Transport User Voice – October 2016 – Miles of orange cones, so what’s happening?

26 September 2016

What do road users want when travelling through roadworks?

We know, from our 2015 road user priorities for improvement research,  that ‘better management of road works’ is a top priority for road users. In order to help deliver this, we needed to know what it really means.

So we went out and asked road users their views on narrow lanes and speed, accidents, poor weather and obstructions. We also asked about current experiences of these things.

orange cones oct 2016We will publish Incidents and roadworks: the road user perspective on Wednesday 16 November 2016 at Highways UK conference in Birmingham.

Highways UK is a major event in the roads industry calendar. We have a stand in the exhibition arena and our staff will be on hand to discuss this and our other published research.

We are also holding a Board meeting in public and evening reception. Please click the links to find out more.
